Tythe Cottage Restaurant and Gardens
Exmouth in Bloom overall winner – The Tythe Cottage Restaurant
Just a short walk away from the Devon Cliffs resort is an atmospheric 16th century thatched cottage restaurant. At the bottom of the hill from Devon Cliffs, you cannot miss the picture postcard restaurant and its award-winning gardens.
The restaurant offers many traditional homemade dishes from classic English meals to Indian curries and Italian lasagnes and pasta dishes homemade on the premises.
The Tythe Cottage is a 32 seat restaurant but in the summer months 90 guests can be seated by using the award winning gardens for an 'al fresco' experience.
Booking is advised, especially in peak season. Call 01395 279925.
This is what the Tythe Cottage says about it's menu...
"Not all dishes are homemade but we do support the local businesses, farmers and butchers in the area using only the very best cuts of meat and organic vegetables.
Our grill section offers the best cuts of steak and our steak & ale and steak & kidney pies contain only the best scotch beef.
We cannot forget our famous cream teas with homemade scones and Devon clotted cream. We also have a large dessert menu for the sweet-toothed folks out there using Devon's ice cream made on the premises.
As for the children, we are proud to present a menu of at least eight meals. The choice is yours should you wish to accompany the dish with chips or you may want to take the healthier option of vegetables or salad and a crusty roll.
We are fully licensed with a variety of ales from Speckled Hen to Ruddles County, ciders from Somerset and fine wines served by the glass or bottle, superb malt whiskies, vintage brandies and after dinner liqueurs."
